Service Description

Unlock the "magic" of radio waves this summer! This three-day session will teach teens to build their own AM radio transmitters. Learn a little about electricity, and wire circuits with a “breadboard.” Discover that light is a wave. Learn how the Marconi Station searched for submarines. The course culminates in a "Fox Hunt," where students use custom-built directional antennas to track down hidden signals in a thrilling outdoor search on the Marconi park land. It is an opportunity for teens to gain engineering knowledge through creative, fun activities. Meet Milo, the coolest Lego robot for early engineers! Solve problems like how to rescue a panda from an earthquake, navigate uneven terrain and help a bee find pollen. This robot set will ignite the curiosity of young engineers. This is a 3-day course.
